Hard to believe Thanksgiving is just a week away! The Thanksgiving forecast is calling for highs in the upper sixties with plenty of sunshine, which is great weather if you’ll be in Destin with family and friends that week. I don’t know why, but Thanksgiving dinner just tastes better when you're wearing flip flops! ;)

We will be open by appointment all throughout the week of Thanksgiving, but will be closed after 2pm on Thanksgiving Day to allow our staff to spend time with their families. If you’d like to see the sights from the water before the turkey is ready, just give us a call and we’d be happy to get you out on the water!

Looking for things to do with your family over Thanksgiving week in Destin? Here are 3 Way to Make your Thanksgiving vacation memorable.

Go Fish!

With roots tracing back to 1845, when New England Fisherman Captain Leonard Destin settled in the area and pioneered the fishing industry, Destin is now known as the World’s Luckiest Fishing Village, so of course fishing tops the list! Whether you take the family offshore on an exhilarating fishing charter to catch grouper, amberjack, king mackerel, or mahi, rent your own boat and some fishing poles and spend some relaxing family time targeting redfish or trout in the bay, or rent some fishing poles and fish from the beach or the Destin jetties, fishing is the perfect activity to create some memories and make your Thanksgiving week special, and it sure beats fighting those Black Friday crowds!

Thanksgiving things to do in destin

Take a Harbor Cruise

Our 2-hour $99 special is perfect for cooler off-season weather when you just want to tour around and see the sights on the Destin Harbor. With seating capacities of up to 14 adults on some of our pontoon boats, the whole family can join you, making it the most affordable family cruise in town (Where else can you go on a Destin Harbor cruise for less than $10 per person?). And you’ll have the whole boat to yourselves! (If you’d prefer a guided tour, we can add a captain to show you the sights for an additional $25 per hour.)

Sail into the Sunset

Charter a sailboat and sail off into the sunset. Make it a learning experience and have the captain teach you some sailing basics, or sit back and relax with a glass of wine and enjoy the wind in your hair. Sunsets are gorgeous on the water, and fall sunsets are even more brilliant.
